Hey Gary,

Can I alter that request slightly? Can we make the RE certification test
multiple choice, and leave the original as is? I say this because the
first time through, this really does force you to read the book
completely.which is the goal. The re-cert should be designed to focus on
changes to the rules, not the full body of rules. I'm pretty sure by your
5th time through you know the 15 degree rule.

AS a MEMBER of the NSRCA I make an official request proposing that the cert
test be changed to ALL multiple choice questions. And that all fill in the
blank questions should be eliminated from the online certification exam..
Fill in the blank questions should only be allowed for live in person
seminars.

Reading the various posts on the lists. The fill in the are the sticking
point for most of the members..

Guys, this isn't this hard. It's open book! If you download the rulebook,
and just read it to find the answer, it's easy. I can't figure it what
y'alls problem is. Heck, the rule book gives you the spelling too!

book not available at the time I took the test. Now I have to re do it.
Maybe if at the end of the test it would give you the chance to verify or
correct the questions that were not answered correctly instead of having to
take the whole test again, won't be as annoying.

Just my thought.

Regarding the test itself, I was able to pass with 85% from memory. The
questions missed though were extremely annoying, in that it was a matter of
trying to guess the correct sequence of words. I think the single word
fill in the blanks were ok. It's the 5 word sequences that include trivial
words like "to" that seem to need revising.

As time goes by, and the general level of judging gets better (or the
downgrades become increasingly common knowledge and well-understood), there
will be a need to raise the bar on the certification process and someone
will need to put in some hard work to push us to the next level.

Because AMA and FAI are on different rules cycles, a year apart. Happened
several cycles ago. AMA Masters and Advanced sequences and rules changed
for this year. FAI changed in 2012.

Chuck,
I was partially incorrect. You show as current for FAI, but not AMA.

For all,
As Derek said, you MUST sign in to the site to see the judges list. You do
NOT have to be an NSRCA member to get a login. On the pull down, you can
sort by various means (last name, district, etc).

Ok I don't see where that is Jon. I see a drop down on the top that leads to
the wrong list like John but nothing on the right. Am I on the right
site?????
Also I thought it had to be everyother year like Chuck and I certified
before the Nats last year. It's every year now?

There are still quite a few people attending the NATS who have not taken the
judging certification test. You are REQUIRED to be certified to judge at
the NATS. If you are not certified, that means you miss a judging session
and will lose your highest round.

Please take the time, if you have not done so to go to the NSRCA site and
complete the judging test...
