[NSRCA-discussion] 2013 NATS dates

This is probably not an easy issue to resolve. I presume this question has been on a number of peoples minds recently, but nobody has asked yet... So...

Is it time, once again, to have a traveling NATS managed and scheduled by the NSRCA; and, no longer rely on AMA resources?

Is there an AMA requirement that states a SIG must have their NATS at the AMA grounds in Muncie managed by the AMA and to the AMA schedule?

I think the larger issue is that most of AMAs membership no longer competes. I remember when the NATS had their own issue of model aviation. Now the NATS get 2-3 pages of pics and that's it.  The organization has definitely changed.

We also used to have NPAC.  Now, we have to do what we can within the framework of the AMA and their time restraints.  It is very unfortunate.
