Gordon,

Just for clarification, it does not exactly have a standard sized case. I believe it is 1 mm larger all around, so you may have to do a little bit of surgery to an existing servo mount. There is absolutely no reason not to use it as a rudder servo, however it is overkill. It's also a bit more expensive than an 8411. They are great servos, and I have used them and many applications including the rudder on a glow pattern airplane and I've been happy with them in all cases.
