All Should Read...
Tom,
Please look deeper into this issue.
I highly doubt it is Bill's e-mail account that was comprimised. Everyone on this list is most likely in somebody's contact list.
Investigate the source for the link at Symantics. I'll bet it is a worm or a trojan virus, that captures contact lists and sednd this e-mail out to everyone on their list. No file will be in the sent box, and the one thing you can be 99.99999% sure of is, "The one listed as the sender is not the actual account the message was sent from". The sender is spoofed to hide the source of the account or PC that was violated.
The only protection is for everyone "NOT TO OPEN A LINK LIKE THIS ONE"... (Not Yelling, just making a point stand out)
The way it works is a virus is downloaded "past your anti-virus because you clicked on it", thus a trojan virus.
The real harm is it mostlikey open to the PC to a hacker who can sift through your hard drive and take personal information or company information...
Food for thought...
Here is an FBI website, that shed's some light on how this stuff works... Just Sayin... Although the FBI release doesn't specify this type of virus, this is the potential of what can happen..
I would recommend all users getting a reputable anti-virus / malware software and check your PC... I don't want to creat a panic, however, since this type of e-mail keeps going out, people are intrigued by a link of a trusted source...

Another compromised e-mail account, now moderated... Bill, please let
me know when you've recovered control of your Yahoo account. Here's a
good place to start:
