Totally agree with Robart meter comments, mine also  behaves as Ken describes.

The only thing that jumps at me is with the Robart Incidence meter. It is my experience that if you reverse the meter 180 deg to check the other wing the reading is not accurate. In other words, while checking incidence with the model on the bench check the wing closest to you with the meter face facing you, towards the wing tip. Then install on the opposite wing with the meter facing the fuselage. Same thing with the stabs. The readings can vary + or – 1 deg if you rotate the meter.

Another stab in the dark. (no pun intended)

Is there a weight difference between engines?

Have you checked both that both wings are set to the same incidence? Small differences can cause a serious roll.

I don't remember my cg but was probably around +1/2 degree positive in the wing and it was a solid plane.

Questions:

1. Is it the same once up in the air regardless of throttle setting?  In other words, does it do the same thing at idle as it does with power?

2. Have you checked your programmable mixing to make sure there isn't anything on that shouldn't be on?  If it is on, could there be a wrong channel selected?

If it flew well before (and this is verified), you need to look at what has changed.  Radio, motor, etc.

The plane takes off climbing and rolling left. I can barely be held with stick control, but the deflection requ irked is too much for just trim. I have checked the wing and stab incidences which are close to zero-zero with a Robert incidence meter. Balance is close to the wing tube after 2.5 oz lead attached to the rear of the balsa firewall. The previous owners said that it flew well with a yS 1.60dz, and I am using a 1.40 L. The small difference just can't be the cause. I could understand the pitch problem with a bad CG, but not the rolling.  I have ordered a new incidence meter from central hobbies on the theory that mine Is off, but I really doubt this to to be the problem. Meanwhile I have been flying a Venus2 with an OS 1.20 Ax as well as a curare with a TT .61. I mention this because that are two very different planes and the Hitec aurora 9 transmitter is working flawlessly. The servos are hitec digital 5625's and I see no problem with them on the ground. I wouldn't bo
thering everyone with this if it were not, really frustrating. I am really asking if anyone  has had a similar problem with this specific airframe. It may be a stab in the dark. Fred

The problem is that the plane is almost unflyable. I have flown it four times, found it to be all over the sky and have been unable to trim it reliably at all.  I have some questions. Where is the CG recommended to be? Has anyone else had this problem. I have been flying for twenty years in pattern and have never had this problem before. I have discussed the problem with my flying buddy, a masters class flyer of great skill, but without resolution. The fact that I have able to land the plane without damage has been nothing short of miraculous. Any help would be appreciated.  Fred
