Randy
I am unaware of anybody in the Greenville area that flies pattern. I am not saying there aren't any, just that I don't know. Years ago, Terrance Brown was in Fountain Inn. David Hoppes is in Spartinburg but I haven't seen him fly in about three years. Maybe he just needs a pattern pal in the area to get fired up again.
As far as I know, there are only a few regular pattern flyers in SC. Buff Miller and George Asteris are in Myrtle Beach. Marvin Marozas is in Georgetown (down below Mrytle Beach on the coast). I live in Florence and have been inactive for a few years but plan on trying to get back next year.
Earl Vincent lives in Mrytle Beach, but he stopped flying pattern and got into motorcycles a few years ago. Tim Taylor lives in Sumter, but no longer flies pattern. Dan Hart, who flew with Kirk Gray and myself, quit pattern many years ago. Actually Kirk and Dan got me into pattern. I also know several guys that have tried pattern in the past and are very capable but just don't seem interested.
To be honost, pattern in SC is fairly sparse and spread around the state by a few of us. Practice is difficult because other than Buff and George and Marvin, the rest of us don't have a practice pal who can honostly coach and help correct problems.
At least you will probably be close enough to utilize the Triple Tree field and will be able to practice at what is argueably one of the nicest fields in the USA.

Looks like I might have to transfer to the Greenville Sc area, are there any pattern flyers in that area?
