I was hoping for more creative replies.... You know, like:
1) Official starter motor power station for sport flying glow fliers.
2) Power winch station for glider pilots
3) Chevy Volt charging station

Actually, a small fan to force cool batteries after a flight would at least
be a useful way to use the energy.

Why not try using a small soldering iron instead of the drill?

OK, I did not (yet) buy a Honda or Yamaha generator. I picked up one from
the neighbors friend for $75, so I figured I would give it a whirl. I did
test run it last year and it was relatively quite and not too heavy. I
figured if I keep lifting it, I might get as buff and Anthony Abdullah.
Anyway, I hooked up the power supply/chargers to it and nothing. I tried
my old Triton 2, nothing. Maybe the output is not stable enough. I read
the directions again and it says for low load (250W or less), try moving
the lever half way to the choke position. Nothing. I figured, what the
hell, hooked up a drill to it. Power! OK, so now I hook up the Triton 2
and the drill and run the drill. Power to the charger! Seems without
sufficient load being called for, the generator does not put out. I am not
electrically inclined, but is there something I can do to at least use the
generator until I find a good deal on a Honda? Having me stand there with
a drill the whole time I am charging does not sound appealing.
