[NSRCA-discussion] Paint Colors

Well Dave you kind got me on this one. White, blue, silver, black are not
so bad in price, but red, yellow, orange can be around 70.00 a pint. But
this paint will last a while on the shelf for other projects if it's sealed
good. Remember Concept single stage requires no clear coat to look great,
little color sanding and 3M finishing compound and you will never see the
splice.

Sounds good Larry....the thing with bc/cc is the whole airplane would have
to be clear coated to look right....and it would cost a fortune for 4 colors
of Concept.
I was hoping for some spray cans....it probably wouldn't look very good but
its bad now!
If anyone else has any ideas....I'm listening!
Thanks..

As Robert said, if you can get a big enough area PPG can scan it and match
the color. If the plane is electric you can use dual stage (base coat /
clear coat) and if glow the single stage is the best to be fuel proof. My
only difference of opinion is I would use Concept paint from PPG because you
use less paint for the coverage.

Hi Larry....no....I should have said that this is a painted in the mould all
composite airplane.
No film covering at all.

Dave,
Are you trying to match monocote?

Has anyone determined what mfgr and color paint will match the Gaudius red,
white, blue and yellow factory scheme?
I need to do some touch up painting...spray cans would be nice but I have a
spray rig I could use if not available in cans.
Any help on this would be appreciated.....
Thanks...
