When I got back into pattern several years ago I got hooked up with Lamar .. I learned allot from him about building ,painting, YS engines ,flying and countless other things .I helped him build the plane I won the Nats with. I would not have been able to do that with out him. The pain he would endure to participate in our niche of the hobby is just staggering at the end of the day I think it won out . He will be in a better place now but I think he will always be there behind me and others (pulling my pony tail ) telling us  to go back and do it again only this time do it without all the mistakes I saw last time just trying to help get that perfect flight in. Any success I have building a worthy aircraft I attribute to Lamar and what he taught me over the past years.
