Thanks Jerry! Had a great time at my first Nats, I hope to be back for many
years to come.

Hey Matt,

Try contacting some of the officers from their website, that's what I did
several times enroute to Muncie when I needed to practice somewhere. ALL of
the clubs I flew at were friendly if not downright accommodating to me.
Kudos to the OmaHawks, the Grundy County Aeromodelers in Seneca, IL, the
Tri-Village Club in Hoffman Estates, and Fox Valley R/C Club in St. Charles,
IL. All of the fields were nice but the field in St. Charles is the most
impressive R/C facility I have ever seen: 800' x 50' paved runway, a fully
paved parking lot (with marked parking stalls), a large shaded grandstand
for spectators, and a large clubhouse with large glass windows. It's really
a first class facility. I showed up there unannounced on Friday evening a
week ago and they were very welcoming and happy to let me fly there, even
though they were setting up for a big Festival of Flight Airshow the next
day. If it's close to where your family is in the Chicago area you should
go check it out!

BTW - It was great judging the FAI/Masters finals with you and everyone
yesterday, it's really an honor to be able to do so. I especially enjoyed
our discussions with Mark Radcliffe, Mike Harrison, Mark Atwood, Joe
Dunnaway, John Fuqua and others, it was a lot of fun!!

Take care and have a safe trip home!

Jerry
