Yah I use it mostly to weigh components and material. I'm not pushing the
weight limit and just stand the airplane up on the spinner to get a total
weight. If it max'es the scale it’s a seller not a keeper. I had an 11 lb
airplane but I like the 10 lb version a lot better.
I also have an old fashioned spring scale that goes to 25 lb for weighing
larger scale airplanes so that I can enter it on forms etc.

The scales need to have a greater than 5000 gram capability because the
scales stop measuring when they get to their limit and most pilots use a
stand to hold their airplanes when they are being weighed.
