a drill press is way too sophisticated, i was thinking more along the lines
of a hand held drill, electric of course, I haven't figured out how to hold
the drill, crank the spindle and file all at one time......

 I thought a drill press was a lathe standing on end . . . .

You could use the Tru-Turn bushings.....just put one on a bolt, chuck it in
a drill and dress it with a file to size.

I've found lots of bushings to adjust an APC prop hub to a smaller shaft,
but I haven't found anything that seems like it would work with the Q60's
5mm bolt shaft... looking for ideas...

 Thanks,
