Count me in as well!

I am excited and optimistic that we will have a great year of contests in D4. 
Anyone considering putting on a "new" event, get with me and we will promote the 
"love" out of it!!! Got to reach out to the local guys in the area that might 
not travel to a contest but will show up and possibly participate if it is at 
their local field. We have to expose newcomers to the joy of what we do and let 
them decide for themselves how great it is.

It still is very nice.  Perfect East West all grass runway that is about 800 ft 
long. The grass is as smooth as a fairway.

I flew at a contest years ago at Alum Creek that Mike Barbee ran right after 
they got the site. As I recall, it was a nice site. Of course, you’d be hard 
pressed to find a site as nice as “the field of dreams”, but Alum Creek is 
pretty nice. Sorry about your troubles with the club.

They are looking at a site in Mt. Sterling, OH which is another 20 minutes south 
of me.

I will likely be flying at the Alum Creek site for the foreseeable future (very 
close to work and actually closer to my house than the old field).  I may 
approach them about having a contest there.

I got kicked out of my club because I called the officers out for lying to the 
club about us losing the field.  If you recall they kept it secret from the club 
for 7 months.  You can thank Greg Poppel and Terry Nitch for that.

The field was leased from the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio who
operates the landfill.  They needed to move the landfill entrance.  As luck
would have it, they chose to have the entrance go right through our field.
They also want to put a recycling center on our property too.  The club's
last day at the field was December 5th.
