Back the low speed needle out until its level with the collar.

If you have any baseline settings please share them. My OS ESC arrived
yesterday, but I won't have the plane until the end of September. The motor
is a Hacker C50-14XL in-runner with gearbox.

I did pick up the programmer also.

Thanks.

FWIW, Tower has the OS 100 amp speed controller on sale for $150 thru the
end of August. They also have a $20 off discount currently, so your price
is $130 plus shipping, vs. $180 normally. I flew one of these for the
first time yesterday. Extremely smooth, great brake that makes the
airplane feel like it is on a parachute on downlines, easy to program with
the optional programmer, no computer required. Has data logging also.
Built in spark arrestor so there is no snap when plugging the batteries
in. I'm going to replace my other Castle HV80 with another one of these.
All up, it is about 1/2 oz heavier than an HV80 with connectors. I've been
waiting patiently for Castle to fix their braking issue (screech above
30%), but it doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon, plus the OS
controller is cheaper at present. There is a Futaba branded unit that is
the same controller sold elsewhere in the world, and Jason Shulman flew one
at the Nats.

No connection or sponsorship from Tower/Hobbico!
Jon
