Archie thanks for taking the job. Hats off to you. Also many thanks to all
that have volunteered their time and effort to make this happen.

will also say that Ron has already contacted me offering any help he can
provide, but your statement below highlights what I think is pattern's
biggest problem. I am aware of the official name, and National Aeromodeling
Championships is the proper name for tge NATs, but everyone knew what I
meant. At most local contests the pilots will help in anyway possible,
however at the NATS from many pilots the attitude is completely different.
There was a list of complaints this year as long as my arm, and many
justified, but when we wete searching for people to step up and help,
suddenly no one was interested. There have always been problems at the NATS
and I am sure next year will be no different, but as pilots, and many of us
have CD'd contests, please put yourself in the ED's shoes and state the
problem and be willing to be part of the solution rather than the problem.
Be understanding that some problems
may be minor in the grand scheme of things. I have some ideas on a few
things to try. Please be open to the ideas and also feel free to voice your
opinions, but also have ideas to improve it. I plan to try to keep the
pattern community updated as to what is going on as much as possible and if
you have questions please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to make
the 2012 NATS the best they can be, but I need you help to make it happen.

do.
