I'm sorry to hear that. I served with Ed on a Sequence Committee awhile back
and his humorous outlook always kept the tension level that prevailed at the
time at a reasonable level. Ed and I attended a contest later that year and
ended up judging together. It was during that judging stint that the
infamous "Double Weedon" was born. We had a lot of laughs over that. We've
all lost a great wit and a true friend.

Ed Hartley, NSRCA 156, passed away Thursday night and there will be a
memorial service next weekend here in Knoxville, TN. Ed was a long time
pattern flyer, he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ed's
family.
