Ron,

On behalf of Team USA I would really like to take the time and thank you all that donated to the team fund. We are doing our best to raise as much money as possible for the trip and this really helps out. And thank you to the club who also donated there money. We are all really pushing hard to bring home the gold for the USA which would make it special being in the USA.

As I type this I'm out practicing and sure that Brett, and Chip are doing the same. Again thank you guys very much and I really miss your contest as it's always a great one to attend.

The 2011 Heart of Ohio Pattern Classic just wrapped up this weekend. The event is hosted by The Ohio Radio Kontrol Society, Inc. (TORKS) located in Columbus, Ohio. 24 pilots enjoyed great weather on both Saturday and Sunday. A 50/50 raffle was held on Saturday and Sunday to help raise money for TEAM USA. The winner of Saturday’s raffle (Bob Kane) donated his winnings back to the cause. The winner of Sunday’s raffle (Craig Britton, club member) did likewise. We collected $185 from the 50/50 raffle and the TORKS club donated an additional $65 for a total of $250.

Thanks to all the pilots for another great event.

Ron Hansen
