Indeed!!! It was a very long day but in the end we got in 3 rounds today for all classes. We'll likely only shoot for 2 rounds tomorrow, but still, 5 rounds with 46 pilots, on 2 lines is pretty impressive.

Tons of fun having so many at a local meet.

Heard from guys at Weak Signals. They have 47 at a local contest this weekend. Apparently the rumors of patterns death have greatly exaggerated.

You might see only 36 IMAC fliers at the Nats but you'll see clubs full of IMAC airframes all over the world. This is how they can have such huge turn outs to certain comps. With the huge give aways and sponsorships. I suspect for every 500 IMAC airplanes sold, one might show at a comp.

Can't say any of the above about Pattern.

It doesn't seem to me to be a great challenge to run a contest with only 36 entries...JMO.

I was at the imac nats and they did only have 36 pilots(I was one of them). I have to say I love pattern and imac, but imac is shooting themselves in the foot with the 200cc monsters. They are cool but the logistics of having a primary and backup is daunting to say the least. My kids and I had a great time at the imac nats and it was run very well. I hope we have as much fun at the pattern nats!!!! Toby

They say IMAC is more popular but I think they only had 36 entries this year total all classes.
