I can tell you the inverse is true also . . . . . . my oldest daughter could take off and fly her trainer  . . . . . then she started drivers training and entered high school.

 The funny part is now 13 years later I will probably give the trainer to her husband who is interested in learning to fly.

Getting them flying before that happens - did not help. :-)  How do I know? My son turned 16 in July. Has not flown much since. The sad thing is, if he practiced any at all, he could easily kick my butt in pattern. He is already kicking it flying 3D stuff.
