How do we go about getting the Intermediate and Advance schedules so we can practice?

Thanks Mark. I kind of remember IAC folks creating unknowns by consensus. That's got to be interesting.

OK guys, change my schedule again next year but please don't make it a habit. I've never flown much over 80% on a good day but I was loosing interest in flying the advanced schedule after two years, but masters in sufficiently challenging that I'm confident that it would hold my interest for three.

No, we had all new schedules this year, both Prelim and Finals. They do fly 2 unknowns in the finals as well and those are created by the pilots as a group the night before.

We'll fly the same sequences in 2011 (P-11 and F-11) until the world champs after which the schedules change to P-13 and F-13 to begin preparing for the 2013 world Champs.

Didn't they change the alternate schedule flown in the finals that was different from the previous year?

FAI is also on a two year schedule, just out of phase with AMA. They are flying the 2010-2011 schedules now. They change after the world championships.

I just got back last night and I'm playing catch-up.I expected a proposal to change masters annually as soon as control wasreleased from the AMA two-year cycle, but not this soon.FAI offers a new schedule every year that should be sufficiently challengingfor anyone, don't they?We still may need refresher / annual judge training to understand andstandardize how these new sequences need to be judged as well asindoctrinate new judges.Judging criteria is loaded with important details, some of which tend tofade or get neglected during the flying / judging season. If all we werejudging were lines track and length, radiuses, rolls and positioning itwould be easy but these things tend to get complicated requiring additionaljudging clarification.Back to the shop, flying season is over for me.Jim Hiller -----Original Message-----From: nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org[mailto:nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org]On Behalf Of Bill GlazeSent: Wednesday, October 27, 2010 6:59 AMTo: General pattern discussionSubject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Sequences for 2011 - approved Agree. But, is Masters once again the only subject here? Or, could weconsider the other 50% of the membership also? If we did decide to change everyyear it would not mandate resertification every year unless newelements or rule changes were added. Think of how exciting it is every two years when we get a newschedule, we could enjoy that more often if it works out well.Furthermore it's more fair for someone new to or returning to mastersafter a year off so they are not flying against someone that has ayear extra practice on a given sequence. It sort of sucks moving upand flying Masters pilots that are on the second or third year offlying the same Masters pattern. I strongly encourage that we give it a try. The thought of waitingthree years to change to get in sync is extremely distasteful to me.
