Jerry,
I just had one and sold it. Reasons:
No stick switches
No split expo on each side of neutral. I use split expo, especially on
elevator.
Mine came with the infamous stick deadband on three axes and I ended up
sending it back twice to get it properly repaired.
Lockouts/glitching. Found a burned/corroded antenna connection in the
receiver and sent it back for repair. Another Aurora 9 flyer also had
glitching/lockouts at our field.
Only had digital throttle trim, and it cannot be mixed or assigned to a
slider such that it only acts on low throttle.
They promise lots of feature updates via firmware, but are VERY slow in
releasing anything. And they won't say exactly what will be in the next
release. Bugs in heli and sailplane setups. Requires purchase of a
separate box to update firmware. Website in Korea that has the updates has
had frequent outages. You CANNOT download the firmware and install it
later. You MUST be hooked to the internet and download it real time. My
perception is that they are more enthralled with telemetry (that was a year
late in being released) than in getting the basic system up to snuff. Oh,
and as far as I know, they still haven't released the 72mHz module promised
last fall, if that is of any concern.
Was glad to get rid of mine.
