Jon,

3421 w/ 3025 gears compared to 3517..specs are very close.not sure what
other differences there might be so far as motor, deadband, aggressiveness
on center, etc.

Dave,

I've been using 3421's with 3025 gears. Slightly lower torque, but much
faster for dual elevator servos. Specs appear about the same a

8417 for one elevator servo
3517 for two elevator servos
8611A for rudder

8231 or 8101 nylon gearsets to convert the 8417 to 8417 "sa".......the speed
will decrease slightly, but the torque will go up slightly.

3025/3035 nylon gearsets to convert the 3517 to "sa".

Leave the 8611A as is.

I plan to move up to my first 2M soon (a Focus 2) and will need an elevator
(and rudder) servo. What can you recommend, now that JR's SA servos appear
to be no longer available? If necessary, I may be able to scavange an
8411SA or two from an unfinished 1/4 scale, but have to check if it's the SA
or metal gear version.
