[NSRCA-discussion] Pattern contest results for 2010

This is really cool.
I've always favored raw scoring over normalized scoring and find it more
useful in evaluating or comparing performance. Most of us have good days and
bad days, which can be hidden when viewing normalized scores.
The only suggestion I can think of would be to highlight any zeros that
occur during a flight for instant recognition, as they reduce the percentage
value for the flight and distort performance analysis.
Thanks guys, Great job, and a big thanks to Gordon and Meri for there many
years of support here in D-8.
Looking forward to seeing Bill's scores and better understanding our
differences.

Everyone,

Stuart Chale, Buff Miller and Scott Smith have been doing some great work on
the website when it comes to contest results and displaying them. All they
need now are to have all the CD's that use PACSS to send an export of their
contest results to them (Stuart) directly so that they can build the results
pages. Essentially what you'll be able to do is to click on the results of
a contest and drill down to the pilot scores and be able to display all the
pilot scores by judge for each round for that contest. Isn't this cool?!!
You'll be able to see what each judge gave as a score for each maneuver that
was flown in each round for every pilot!!!

Attached is a file showing how to export CSV data from PACSS. This file
should then be sent directly to Stuart Chale at schale at optonline.net
<mailto:schale at optonline.net> . You'll be able to see the output of these
results by going to the "Contest Results" pull-down menu selection on the
main NSRCA website and selecting the district that you want to see results
for. you'll see a list of all the district contests that were held (or will
be held) for 2010 (or 2011). If the contest results are there then there
will be a link to click on under the header "Results" - see the contest page
for D1 here: http://nsrca.us/contest-results/2010/d1.html.

For those of us that use Gordon Anderson's scoring program, he has made some
modifications to his program that will export the information and it is in
test at this time.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
