[NSRCA-discussion] Saying goodbye to my pattern friends

Don,
I appreciate the thought. Right now, I am not even a member of a club. I paid my dues last year and did not fly once. I have not flown since the 2008 NATS. My house will be foreclosed on June 4th. I am afraid all my efforts are too little too late. I may not sell my planes since I am going to lose the house anyway. I am not sure where I will live and if I will have room for my planes yet. If I do not find a place and have room for the planes, I will still have to sell it all off.
Dad does want to come up to Bealeton for the next context just to watch and enjoy the company of all our old friends. We shall see. It would break my heart really bad to go to a contest and NOT be able to fly. After a year and a half, I doubt I could fly anymore anyway. LOL
Paul

Paul here is an out of the box idea (pun).
Please sanction a pattern contest for early June, We will show up and you can host a raffle. It may not get you out completely but will put a dent in it. Worth saving a great pilot from the wrath of the economy.
What say you?
Don

Hi all,
Sorry for the off topic message but I am losing my house to foreclosure on June 6th. I cannot come up with the 3-4000 I need to save the house in time. I will be selling my pattern stuff later this week or early next week. I will probably not return to pattern once I sell off what I have. Only time will tell, but things are looking to grim for me at this time.
I have fought long and hard over the past 18 months trying to save the house and keep my planes after losing my job. I have not flown since my 3rd place Advanced finish in the 2008 NATS.
I currently have a job and it is secure and with a great company, but it is too little too late. Thanks for all the great memories and maybe oneday I can come back to the only thing I ever loved doing (other than spending time with my 4 year old daughter). I have a lot of great memories of the friends I have made and contests I have attended.
Keep your eyes open for me posting the items for sale soon (unless a miricle happens and I can find a way to save it all).
Paul
