Stuart,
You are correct, I think the TP Prolite V2 are pretty much the gold
standard. I have a TP Prolite V1 that has 159 flights on it and it has
by far been my most durable and reliable battery. With all the cheap
options I've been tormenting with what to buy for a while now and
finally decided to just spend the money and get the TP Prolite V2 10s
packs. The problem is they are a different shape than the two 5s V2
packs I have. For the last year I've been mouting three different
battery types at three different locations to keep the CG the same. So
since the 5s V2's I have are so new I decided to sell them and just
get an extra new pair so all of my contest grade packs are exactly the
same.
Silly perhaps, but that's what I'm doing. It has nothing to do with
the availability of the cheaper batteries.
