Pocono this weekend is in a pretty nice resort area
.plenty of golf, spa,
river beaches, mountain biking. It will be 90 degrees with humidity tho
and
undpredictable challenging turbulent wind
..great practice for the NATs.
think Oakdale (with the Fitz boat) might be the winner for relaxing :-)

We have a contest in Oakdale (California) this weekend as well - the field
is located right next to a lake (see the pic below - the field is right
below the words "Eastman Rd". Chris Fitzsimmons is bringing his boat there
on Friday so that we can go for a ski/swim etc... Temps will be in the 90's
with no humidity and not much wind.

Ah, heat you can eat...
We have a couple lakes nearby to help cool things off. It's about as close
to heaven as you are going to get--really--unless it was in Kansas, of
course...

Here at Prop Nuts we'll have 700acres of grass farm to fly-over, all the
mosquitos you can eat, and 72° (in the scoring trailer)...slightly higher
outside the scoring trailer....at least it's not a dry heat.

And light winds forecast right down the N/S runway from the south...perfect.

The one in KC is closer to the real middle of the country. The weather in
KC is going to be better this weekend also. However, you will have fun in
all these contests.

Man, if you live in the middle of the country, you've no excuse to miss a
pattern contest this weekend: Houston, Kansas City. and Chicago....
