Ah, heat you can eat...

We have a couple lakes nearby to help cool things off. It's about as close to heaven as you are going to get--really--unless it was in Kansas, of course...

Here at Prop Nuts we'll have 700acres of grass farm to fly-over, all the mosquitos you can eat, and 72° (in the scoring trailer)...slightly higher outside the scoring trailer....at least it's not a dry heat.

And light winds forecast right down the N/S runway from the south...perfect.

Here in KC: 600' newly renovated asphalt runway, shade trees, free lunch(es), easy judges?, pretty girls and casinos....

The one in KC is closer to the real middle of the country. The weather in KC is going to be better this weekend also. However, you will have fun in all these contests.

Man, if you live in the middle of the country, you've no excuse to miss a pattern contest this weekend: Houston, Kansas City. and Chicago....

FYI,

If you are coming to this contest on Sat. morning from the West using Beltway 8, there is going to be a detour at Highway59 and the Beltway: This is a small detour, but could be a lot of traffic buildup....plan accordingly. We want to start flying between 9 and 10am.

HIGHWAY
BELTWAY 8-NORTH/SAM HOUSTON TOLL

DESCRIPTION
Eastbound and westbound Frontage Road at US-59 EASTEX FRWY. TOTAL CLOSURE. Closed daily from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday, June 26 to Sunday, June 27. Eastbound traffic detour to US-59 southbound frontage road to Aldine Bender and u-turn to the northbound frontage road, to Beltway 8 eastbound; westbound traffic detour to US-59 northbound frontage road to Greens Rd. and u-turn to the southbound frontage road to Beltway 8.
