Richard,
That sounds pretty darned good.
Question: how the heck do you guys get any building done without the 7 month long winter building season :o)

As far as R/C...
Bayou City Fliers - Scobee Field, Katy
Space City R/C- Katy
Northwest R/C - Katy
SPARKS - NW Houston
Jetero - Huffman
PropNuts - Crosby
Houston Sport Flyers - Houston
Most of those listed are members only clubs, but all are generally very welcoming of guests.
The exception is Bayou City Fliers at Scobee Field. The field is public and open to any AMA registered pilot, the club resides there and provides a measure of structure, but does not have any exclusivity.
There are a couple more I'm sure I missed....Pattern flying is alive and well...
Generally a good area to live in, stronger than average economy, southern hospitality...and it can be a little hot on occasion..:)

I may have the occasion to spend a considerable amount of time in the Houston area over the next few months, how is the RC, and more specifically, the pattern scene down there? Is it a good area for flying. For those who live in and around the area, is it a good city to live in?
Thanks
Anthony
