Rick,

I know the feeling.  Flying always made me feel better and was a good stress relief.  Although Dad's coaching could get a little intense.  LOL  I am not sure I will be able to start preparing this year.  Probably no stick time, but will be able to really make sure the plane is ready.  A lot of extra checks and rechecks and maintenance will make sure things are really ready.

BTW, yes it has been a LONG time since we flew together.

    Welcome back.  I had some issues and was out for almost 10 years too.  I came back for a bit and then things went really bad.  Hopefully next year I will back on my feet enough to compete again.  I will be in Advanced as well.  I flew the very end of 2007 and took 3rd in Advanced at the NATS in 2008.  Unfortunately I have not flown a pattern plane again since.

      I am getting back into pattern after a 10 year layoff, so I need an upgrade to a more recent design and hardware. I am not interested in electric, looking for a YS170 setup. 
      I will be flying Advanced my first year back, but will move back to Masters so I need something that will perform well in Masters.

      I am still doing research but I personally like the following designs:

      Blackmagic v3
