Probably needs 900-1100 watt range. As far as Dualsky is concerned, the
XM4250CA or XM4260CA size motors would probably work. These motors will
handle 11x6 to 15x8 props depending on battery cell count. How much prop
clearance will he have? What pack config, 4S, 5S, 6S?

I am not familiar with Hacker or Scorpion in this size motor tho I hear
Scorpion motors have a great reputation. There is a guy on RC Groups flying
the Helios 63e plane with a Scorpion 4020-12 on the equivalent of a 5S
Lipo and says it has way more power than he needs. So, a 4S might be about
right.

"I'm new to electrics so I need some advice. I'm running a Scorpion 4020-12
 with
an Airboss 80 Elite ESC, APC 15x8e prop, on a Helios 63e (60 sized)
pattern ship
with 6S1P A123 batteries. The 4020-12 has way more power than I need on
this
airplane."

I have a friend here in D7 that bought a Hyperion Helios F3A 63e at the
AMA show. He called me asking what motor to use. He is thinking Hacker,
Scorpion, and Dualsky. Any suggestions for him? It is supposed to weigh 4.25 lbs
all up. I have some suggestions but thought I'd ask here for some more.

Thanks!
