Ron that's a chunk to lose. It can be done but it gets costly.
On Chris Moon's ElectricF3a Forums there is a building thread of the Sickle's from last spring. I had to shave about a pound off the Fatboy to make weight. I did it at a pretty expensive cost but I did it just the same.

Wow that's a big question. I think it's covered in the thread.
Things I changed and did.
PGB wing tube,
lightest servo's possible
I shaved of 5 ounces from the inside of the fuse mostly the nose.
I changed to much lighter landing gear.
I used a YGE controller to save 2 ounces
no switch
800 Mil receiver pack only
CF prop
I have the weight down to 10lbs 15.5 ounces.
It ain't easy!!!! Mike
Other ideas.
Consider the smaller AXI motor info on F3AUnlimited.com
You do not need a full size Pletty in that plane for advanced. It's total overkill.
You can drop your lipo's down to 4500 mil or even smaller for advanced too. This could save up to 8 ounces.
Maybe the new Spin 75 ESC at 2 ounces.
No spinner just a rounded nut. It allows better cooling and works great.
Wheels, pants and axles add up. Think in grams and pretty soon you get there.
Servos. I ran 3421's MG!!!! in the ailerons without any problems. The Airtronics wing servos are .8 ounce and do the job too.
Linkages, wires all add up and need to be as short as possible.
You can drop your receiver lipo down to as low as a 460 Mil. No switch and a Jaccio light weight 6V regulator only.
Receivers come extrememly light now. I have a new Airtronics 6 channel full range that would fly a pattern plane that weighs under 10 grams.
Cut all un needed structure out of the airframe. Use light weight materials like CF balsa trays. Watch the weight of all your hardware. I have tail wheels that weight 8 grams.
You can do it. Good luck, M²
