Depends on battery voltage, the total size of the capacitors in your ESC, and how fast you want them to charge.
Assuming 100 uF, 42 V and 0.5 sec, I would try a 5k Ohm 1/2 Watt resistor.
You may get unusual behavior from your ESC if the voltage rises too slowly.  If so, try a smaller resistance value.  In fact, you probably want to use the smallest value that gives an acceptable level of spark.
