  Hey, hey, my wife and I have been married over 47 years, and she still goes to contests with me!!!  She has called for me on occasion, but I never ask her to do my "dirty work".  Although I DO find that line funny, I certainly don't think it is true -- in my case, anyway... she always makes sure I have all the toys I need!
