[NSRCA-discussion] JR 12X timer question

I found another good use for the second timer…

Getting older we tend to forget things, like retracting the flaps after takeoff! So my second timer is set to count down from 30 seconds and starts/stops with the flap switch.

Now my transmitter reminds me to retract the flaps after takeoff when I forget.

Yep Dave,

I got you covered. Let me take care of some stuff this morning and I'll
tell you exactly how to set it up. It can be setup two ways. First every
time your throttle stick comes down below a certain point it can turn
off. So it's like a power on timers for say electric. Or it can work as
a one-time deal where the very first time you advance the throttle past
a certain spot the timer starts and will keep going after regardless of
throttle position.

I also run two timers. One is a 8min sequence time I start as the one
time....throttle up. Before I start the motor I do the throttle up and
start the timer. This is like a flown round under the time limit. Have
to complete the last figure before the 8mins is up.

Next is another timer that I start with another button, that tells when
it is time to land for fuel.

Works out really well on the 12X you can setup 2 totally independent
timers, and have them activated the same way or differently and there
are several options for the timers that were not included in previous JR
radios.

I'll let you know today and explain he timer functions.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the 12X timer function like I
want. I'd like a countdown alarm function to start the first time I
advance to full throttle after turning on. Anyone know if this can be
done and how to set it up?
Thanks,
Dave Burton.
