[NSRCA-discussion] New Contest - Looking for Interest (D3, 4, and 5)

I would guess the TORKS Contest would be the weekend of June 5th and 6th
because Memorial Day weekend is the weekend before that. I would assume the
D4/D5 shootout would be the following weekend of June 12th and 13th. I
think having 3 weekends in a row would hurt attendance at your contest.
Perhaps the last weekend in June might work or talk with Dave Johnstone
about picking up the weekend of the Hebron contest probably the weekend of
May 22th and 23th. They currently host two contests and their field faces
north so they can have a contest anytime during the year.

Looking at the D4 schedule, I was thinking about the 3rd week in June. This
seems to be a gap between an early June contest and the NATS. For D5 there
is a hole, but that would cover every weekend in June for D5.
Later than the NATs and my concern is the length of day. The 3rd week of
June is nearing the longest day and would help in clearing the sun late
morning.
Seems to be some interest so I will take the next step.

What kind of interest would a contest the Sat and Sun before the nats
attract? It's close enough distance wise. Would guys do a contest as a warm
up on their way in to the nats? Mike
