[NSRCA-discussion] 12X Failure

Hi guys,

I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this problem with their 12X.

I went out to fly Saturday and as usual, before the first flight, I turned on the transmitter holding the "enter" button to get the model select menu...selected the appropriate model and then when I hit the "enter" button to get to the "flying screen" The display started to "flash" with no display on the screen.  I turned off the transmitter and restarted and the screen continued to just flash.  If I turned it on holding the "enter button" I can get the system menu, but can't get to the "flying screen".  I also tried taking the battery out and re-inserting....no change.

Needless to say it is on it's way back to Horizon Land.  

On another note, before sending it off, I tried to back up the programs and it seems that "Data Safe" isn't compatible with the 12X!  My version is old, so I went to the website looking for an update...couldn't find one- though there is an article there from 2007 saying that there is an update making it 9303 compatible.

Fortunately, a friend has a "spare" 12X that is waiting to be sold and I was able to transfer the memory directly to it via DSC and will use it until my unit gets back from service.
