The attachment point is made for a neck strap that places a more or less
straight out force on the TX case. The Helicopter John device places a
significant side force on the way it attaches. It works like a big
lever. The Secraft balancer I use now fits closer to the case and has a
lower lever force. Plus is makes it easy to get to the switch and does
not stick up like the Helicopter John balancer does. I've had both and
like the Secraft better.
Futaba service has received several 14MXs into servoce with the strap
mount broken due to various balancers putting side force on them. I
think Derek had an issue as well.
