Hi Xavier,

I learned to fly in the 70's Mode 1 - I had to stop flying for a decade and when I came back to the hobby in the 90's it seemed like everyone was flying Mode II, so I restarted with the new mode. I think the long hiatus made relearning easier, but I wouldn't suggest you take a decade off and restart<G>.

Hello,

I am curious to know who may have changed from one mode to the other (I am looking in particular at rudder-trottle on the left vs aileron-trottle on the left) at anytime during their pattern career.

If so, how did you do it ? How long did it take to get back to the same level of confidence ? etc.

For now, I have spend some time on the simulator and a few flights with a foamie. It's not easy at first. It needs a lot of concentration.

Thanks

Xavier
