[NSRCA-discussion] PPG Concept Paint Qs

I'll let you know later, but I've had a can of hardener in the back of the refrigerator for about 4 months. It'll be a couple of more before I use it. If I use it; it depends on what the other list members have had for experience.

These are great questions. The one thing I have seen is that the hardener doesn't have a really long shelf life after it's been opened. Depending on how you store it (cool storage areas are better), it seems that it can degrade in as little as a month after opening. It still works, but the gloss seems a bit diminished and the surface hardness takes longer to develop. That's what I've seen at least. It would be interesting to see if anyone has found a way to make it last longer, for example would real cold storage work?

What is the shelf life of PPG primer, paint ,and hardener?

Once mixed, how long do you have to spray it before the paint quality is degraded?

After the can is opened, what is the shelf life assuming the cap or cover is securely attached?
