To be honest, I have had better luck with shipping than flying. I know 3 
soaring guys who had TSA literally destroy their planes while 
"inspecting" them. Servos torn out of the wings (we glue them in) 
destroying the wing skin, lost wing rods, you name it.

I've shipped gliders in Sportubes several times without incident by both 
FedEx and UPS.
