Only problem I have had with them is the soft metal hubs will bend if they get a little too much side force exerted on them. You know the heavy crosswind landings on an asphult runway kind of landings. Besides that there great and I will continue to use them. Mike

          Todd, appreciate the information…

These sound like the ticket for the latest project I’m working on.

          Glenn,

Mine have a season on them and still look like new. As Mike said they have a hard rib in the center of the tire that really helps them hold up. I've never had a tire roll off the hub, however, I pulled the tire back and put several drops of CA on the wheel before installing them on the plane.

Nice, light wheels at a reasonable price..

          Todd

            Todd,

How’s the wear factor been on the plastic axle inserts and the foam/rubber tires?

            Regards,

            Glen Watson

Don't know Ron but they been out for a while. They are pretty nice. The plastic insert in the center of the foam makes a big difference. Mike

General pattern discussion "<nsrca-discussion at lists.nsrca.org>> Date: Sunday, April 19, 2009, 9:12 PM> > Maxx Products has some new wheels. The wheels have CNC machined aluminumwheel hubs anodized in gun-gray, are very light weight and the AW200, AW250, andAW300 wheels have 1/8" rubber layer sandwiched between light foam tomaintain its shape
under weight. Each wheel comes with 3 sets of axle inserts tofit different wheel axles. I got some AW2.50 (2 1/2") wheels to go on mylatest airplane and am very impressed with the quality and light weight of thewheels. You can go here to look: http://www.maxxprod.com/mpi/mpi-29.html The"street price" is about 2/3 of the listed price.
