I just looked on his website.

It states that his grandfather gave him an old Giles 300. The only Giles 300 that was ever made was lost when the canopy exploded while the pilot, Marta Meyer, was practicing for an IAC event. It incapacitated her and she ended up perishing in the accident. This has been several years ago that this happened.

Interesting that they put so much into the website though, and I'm sure that video was difficult to make.
