Geez, and to think I have working slide rule tie clasp in addition to 2 or 3 full sized ones sitting in a drawer somewhere at home. My dad taught me how to use them. He was huge proponent to doing math in your head or on paper. He really didn't like the calculator. That made life tough on me since I was in high school and college in the 80s.

        I thought the slide rule was the instruction governing how a stall turn would be downgraded based on how many wingspans it decends down a given plane befor pivoting?

          A slide rule – also known as a slip stick. I still have it! Note the hook on the case so that would-be engineers could carry it around on their belt!
