[NSRCA-discussion] Park Flier

John,

I have an E-Flite FX that flies a lot and looks like a pattern plane. It is all foam but it has a built up fuse and wing of foam. You do have to modify it with SFG's about half way out on the wing. It has an elliptical wing and I think the air falls off the wing too fast and the SFG's really made it a fun airplane to fly. It takes a 200 watt motor and 1320 3cell pack and it will fly about 10-13 minutes.

        Shock Flyer F3A:

Fly it anywhere - outdoors on 3S - indoors on 2S.

As long as it doesn't get too cold you'll be fine with LiPO's. Otherwise choose something that will fly on Ni batteries or warm the LiPOs up before you fly.

The Vanquish is a great flyer but not within the "park flyer"
category. You
might look at HH's Brio or the Insane Foamies from Thunder Power. Some of
the latter can be flown an a basketball court.

Good morning all. Here's a question for you electric fliers.
I'm a 'fair weather flier' and winter is rapidly approaching here
in the
inland northwest and there is a little used park within walking distance of
my residence. Since my retirement I enjoy the added time in the shop but
need to get out nearly every day. I am not currently flying electric and
have no interest in 3-D but I would like suggestions for a pattern capable
(masters) "Park Flier". I would like to comply with the 2 pound park
flier
weight limit if possible however all suggestions for airplane and equipment
would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jim Hiller
