I too would like to express my thanks to all who attended our contest at LARKS. I hated to leave early on Sunday and didn't get to thank everyone in person, It was great to annouce judging assignments and everyone to accept them so graciously.
I want to commend George for running a great contest. Randy , deona and Amy Liprie for scoring, Nat for doing a great job judging and Hank ,Tina and other club members for the great cooking, registration and concessions. Without them we couldn't hold the event.
Next year we'll have our damaged canopy repaired so everyone would have a 4'X8' work table with electric drop over each.

A big thank you to George Miller and the LARKS for putting on the Gulf Coast Pattern Championship this past weekend. This is a well run meet with good flying, great food, and comradery. For those not aware, the LARKS field is an excellent flying facility for pattern with all the desirable amenities (shade, parking, tables, modern restrooms, electricity). There is a little less shade after the hurricanes - but the club had everything cleaned up and ready to go. Very nice plaques were awarded and George even is having winners names engraved on their plaque if they wish. Moving this event from the heat of August to the comfort of October makes this a "must attend" meet for the gulf coast folks. Put this one on your list for next year!
