[NSRCA-discussion] 2nd Annual NEVRC Pattern Contest 5/31- 6/1/08

I think it is a good bet that some sort of smaller E-Pattern will soon blossom.
I anticipate something with about a 50 inch wingspan/length will prevail. I also think it likely that weight will not be a factor...

Cost/Performance/Convenience/Fun is just too much to ignore!

Hey everybody, just a reminder that next weekend is the 2nd annual NEVRC Pattern Contest, bigger and better than last year. It's now a full two day contest, with the field open late morning on Friday for practice. The NEVRC club took very good care of us last year, grilling from breakfast though lunch and into the afternoon, and this year will be the same. Primitive camping is available.

CD Mark Vukmonovich has been talking to me about having a Mini e-Pattern battle on Saturday evening, when the regular flying is done. Plan on on a Novice class and an Expert class. We'll get the "rules" and sequences for that reposted in a bit. Also, the NEVRC club is planning on lighting up the runway environment on Saturday for some serious foamy work after the Mini e-Pattern scores are settled.

BTW D1 flyers, stay tuned, because Mark is planning on at least one indoor F3P event in later 2008.

Map, directi ons fo r the NEVRC Pattern contest:
