I replied, but the lousy email source we are on ate the message I do
believe..as there is no record so I will type it again..

Only one photo opens-call behind canopy and it is blurred, but I think I
see the failure. I will not be able to send any material this week so if
you are in a big hurry (repair this weekend) you can use fiberglass. To
repair saturate the inside core material with epoxy about 1 inch past the
damage. Use 3-4 oz fiberglass and wet lay up over the damage plus 1 inch.
So have a 2 inch wide piece of fiberglass for the repair. After the inside
repair cures, try to flex the area that was damaged...if the damaged area
does not flex then you are done...it is flexes easily then sand and remove
all paint and primer. Wet layup a patch of 2 oz fiberglass on the outside.
Fill,feather, prime, paint.

What the repair needs to establish is reinstating the stiffness of the
structure. It will always be much stronger than needed for flight.
Stiffnes =good load distribution and good flight characteristics.
