I guess the thing that was facinating to me was hauling these things cross country. I would hate to pay the freight. This was an entire UP train.

A drive back to Dallas from the Lubbock contest will give you a grand view of hundreds of wind generators atop the bluffs. Notin out there but prairie dogs, oil wells and wind and now wind generators. Always a blast flying in the wind conditions at Ed Devers contests.

Oak Ridge Tennessee has a farm of the wind generators perched on the mountain tops. They can be seen from the Knoxville RC flying field. Both the generators and Knoxville field are spectacular.

There are a half dozen just inland of Atlantic City NJ, and some visible off I 76 in PA.

What will hurt the price of oil is changing the bushman to anyone new. Can hardly wait

I have never scene a modern wind turbine before, but today a train load came thru ( South Louisiana ) - blades, hubs, housings ?? The blades were singly loaded, LE down, and occupied approx 1 1/2 flatcars in length, 100ft ?
They may be headed to the Gulf. Sure hope it doesen't hurt the price of oil, LOL.
