Trying to listen to more that one person on trimming an airplane is like having two bosses, you will get confused<G>
I`m taking you down this particular road for a reason.
I want you to learn how to overcome these problems by using my trim methods and actually see the fixes as they happen, be able to repeat the process, and learn from the lesson so thanks for your continued feedback.
At this time disregaurd all suggestions, or prior knowledge of C/G placements as they are from inperfectly trimed airplanes ,don`t let this effect your thinking andbecome a hangup.
Remember from my original trim Triangulation trim method e-mail,
too much tail weight and too much pos incidence will give you the same problems ,,thats why we use a triangulation of manuvers to determine too much C/g or too much Inc.
if your spins are hard to nail the exits ,,snaps are hard to hit your tail heavy or you have too much rudder PERIOD.
You will not be able to fix the roll coupling however the roll coupling will be reduced with the more forward c/g
we are addressing the pitch coupling at this time. this is the biggest flaw.
Your roll coupling is a design flaw brought on by insufficient testing and by using a poor trim method that concluded in the design
#1 If you still have knife edge mix ,,Up elevator with left and right rudder you are still tail heavy and it`s effecting you in all aspects of your flying.
Once your wing and c/g is right the stab adjustment will solidify the airplane if you are carrying down elevator you need positive stab incidence. Adjusting the stabs to meet the elevator halves will take out some of the Mix required and make the airplane more solid in the wind.
Once you move the weight forward you will need a little up trim but,we have to get rid of 95% of the mix first.
This will also help the downline ,,what you have now is a speed induced trim problem because of the trim in relation to the stab Inc. it is also effecting the knife edge problem,, This is Why I told you to adjust your stab a few e-mails back
you will end up needing !/4 deg pos in the stab ,,L/e Up ,, But I wanted you to see what effect Moving the wings was doing to the trim process.
Now you will see what effect adjusting the stab has.
We can`t put the cart before the Horse here ,,,we have to adjust the wing INC and C/G before any thing else is moved ,,see the effect and let the airplane tell us where to go from there. by looking at the trims.
Yes Engine thrust and stab inc have a small roll to play But it is the last adjustments carried out and only for fine tuning .
I also believe from seeing the airplane you will not be able to get rid of all your pitch mix ,,you will only be able to get rid of half of it ,,and THAT is a design problem.
