Well, as stated Vicente, the up ele trim bothers me with the .5 positive wing 0 stab with the cg 1/4" in front of the wing tube. The mix is crazy with rudder input. For knifedge, rudder to ailer 20% with right rudder, 10 % with left. Rudder to up elevator, 35% to right rudder, 28 percent to left. Pulls to the canopy on downlines. Now I know, this indicates tailheavy. I have moved the cg forward to where Jerry Budd has his, at 5/8 in front of the tube, and it changed the up elevator none. Still pulled to the canopy on downlines. I've checked the incidences a million times.. Moved the cg around. Had it flying pretty good last season before I started developing motor issues. Then I stiffened the tail with depron formers, changed motors from the axi, to the lighter dualsky, changed from the Flight Power 3700's to the 5350's, and put a heavier 1320 lipo further forward to obtain cg.. 50% expo on my rudder, up from my normal 35% to 40%.. Just enough rudder throw to have a little
more than knife at half throttle with full stick. Still, I'm baffled, and sent back to times before I thought I knew how to set up a plane, lol.. Obviously I'm still a beginner at it.. And I realize it with this plane.. lol..

I flew an E-Abbra in F3A in local meets for the 2006 season. The set-up was +0.3 wing / 0 stab. I don't recall the exact location of the CG (sold the airplane) but my notes indicate 1/2" forward of starting point. I do recall it was quite responsive to CG changes - as little as 1/16" was noticeable. Ail dif required 1 deg more down ail than up and produced a very axial roll. It had a small proverse roll with rudder requiring around 1 deg opposite ail @ max rudder and required a touch of up elev mix, around 0.5 deg at full rudder.

My whole reason for finally joining this list was to learn.. Don't seem to do that much on the forums.. And the funny thing is, that the problem I'm having right now, is the setup on my Abbra.. Therefore making me sell it. I just can't get it right, and I don't know what's wrong.. I know it's an awesome plane, because I've seen all of Jerry Budd's.. And they all fly great.. I know someone could set it up correctly.. Just not me apparently.. I've set up many planes to a decent liking before. But I just can't get this one right.. I've got alot to learn and no teachers around.. I was going to go to the nats for the first time this year, but it makes it difficult to shoot for top 10 in Masters like it is.. If it was properly setup, I think it's achievable though.. I know I have the skills, just not the setup..
Hopefully I can get with Jerry then at some point..

it does so just try it and enjoy." But I hate to see you bow out when
someone asks for more details. that makes Krishlan's comment seem relevant
when, knowing how much you help others and contribute to this sport, it
shouldn't be.
